Tour volunteers can visit tour gardens throughout the year through a series of Garden Preview events and receive a custom GNGT T-shirt with artwork that changes yearly. Tour volunteers work one 3-hour shift on tour day at one of the gardens either as a docent or as a greeter.

The volunteer registration form is temporarily dysfunctional, and should be back to normal at 7PM on July 28, 2024.

Registration for the in-person tour will close on Sun, Apr 13, 2025, 3:00 pm.
Note: there will be no e-mail help available on the tour day.

Since 2003, Growing Natives Garden Tour offered in-person garden visits each spring. In years 2020-2022, virtual garden tours were also offered online.

If you live in Santa Clara County or San Mateo County, and California native plants are 70% or more of your garden, we invite you to submit your garden for inclusion in the Growing Natives Garden Tour 2026.
